I’m just shocked.

This trope of wealthy Nigerian men cheating and having weird fetishes is no longer a work of fiction but has to be art imitating life. Will this writing help Juicy? Who will help Juicy get out of jail?

I’m slightly agitated by how Juicy is so lackadaisical about being arrested. The women keep saying she’ll be fine. Her graduation and life are on the line for heaven’s sake.

Also, why are we undressing so much ladies? The elaborate descriptions of undergarments are mhm. She could have easily said, La Perla, black silk and I’d let my imagination run. Wait, I’m still thinking about the Duke in The Gentlemen

A few chapters in I was wondering why is the title reading that? I am a critic for titles matching their stories. Is it that All women, all rent, all men and all secrets are found here? In this book?

Finally, the literal sense made sense. The women are renting their secrets. Not sure at what point they’ll be renting their men. I am thoroughly hooked. Need to sit down fast to read some more.

So far the story starts well. The hook is captivating. My interest is piqued. I’m finding myself already wanting to find out in advance what the writer will put down.

I’m not yet sure if I like the fact that this story could be realistic in that it’s Damilare’s life. I read fiction for the separation from reality. Let’s see how it goes.

Shaped By a Man’s Anger is a story we hear so many times. It just reminds me of how mayhem suffer at the hands of insecure men being abused. It honestly opens up a new perspective that abuse can’t just be physical but emotional. The only person who can also get you out of a bad marriage is yourself. Chiiile. No smiles here.

Every beginning is captivating. I’m enjoying the writing and the emotions are just a lot. It brings so much into perspective.

The 2 titles aren’t making sense to me yet. Like “Stay With Me” made more sense in the beginning than the end. Or was it a 1:1 match at the onset and then evolved into somewhat a juxtaposition because who she wanted to stay with her didn’t. Enjoying it.
