Sad, depressing, sad, mean... I have trouble with books that are so swayed in this direction. There could be a good story here, but ...

I'm slightly distracted by math - her age, how old her dad was when she was born, her mom had her when she was 47? Etc. I dislike it when authors do this.

I'm very ready for this book to be over. Dash and Lily's Book of Dares was much better.

How many times can one YA book use the f-bomb? It's getting irritating and I don't even mind swearing in books.

Not great. It reminds me of Jersey Shore with a plot.

Lots of political sarcasm - most of which I don't get. I don't know the history he is making fun of.

I'm finding it hard to believe young readers would be captivated by the opening of this book. I'm 23% in and it's blah and depressing.

Wow - this story just sucks you right in, doesn't it? A gross, creepy tale. I'm enjoying it so much.

Sex during the time of slavery. White master - black slave. Not a cheerful book but informative. I like historical fiction.

This one is skipping along quickly. Almost too quickly. I don't have much info on the characters, town or situation to care. I wish the author had given more.

One Thread Pulled: The Dance with Mr. Darcy
I like it but I'm ready to move on to something else. This is why I prefer books around 200 pages. 400...? Tooooo long.
