The intro claims he'll delve into our 'recent' preoccupation with sex and violence, as a sign of things going wrong. Honey, name me an ancient story that isn't full of sex and violence. Hell, just look at the BIBLE. And he seems to see 'monsters' as only literal beings, like dragons. He fails to see that 'overcoming the monster' can mean overcoming our own shortcomings / fears / trauma / insecurity, etc.

In true CB style, it gets more out there with every line. Very difficult to put down.

Omg WHAT an opening. What a first line, even! Why did I start this so late at night? It was a battle to put it down and go to bed.
