Honestly I’ve never been one to understand devotion to Mary, but now I’m starting to understand. She is so important to our Lord, so she should be important to me.

East Germany schools sound almost as anti religious as public schools in America today. Weird.

It’d be cool if someone wrote in the style a volume of books on the Church fathers.

Based tastes

I think it requires grace from God to accept the teachings of the Church. The levels of heaven finally start to make sense, a little bit.

I must’ve not been listening in religion class growing up because this book from 20+ years ago preaches the same faith I’ve been learning today. Idk what was wrong with my brain or my heart growing up, I just didn’t get it.

Seems to be a useful tool so far. Theologically sound.

I really like this so far, calls me out on a lot.

The Church today needs to listen to Vatican 2. I think a lot of people are there, but for those who aren’t: we need to bring a greater understanding of Vatican 2 all the way down to the parish level to reach the hearts and minds of those living their day to day lives united to Christ. My parish has started those efforts recently, at least now I noticed.

This book was assigned to me for school (the author is my professor), but it’s actually really good.

We need to evangelize more. The Liturgy, Sacred Scripture, and Sacred Tradition is a gift from God. Everything, even our own sin and suffering, is a gift. The freedom to walk away, only makes the reunion all that more glorious. Love God and accept his grace and most holy will for your life. God loves you.

Vatican 2 seems like the answer to the deepest longings of my heart. Why wasn’t it spread to me until now? God’s will, but this is one of the greatest books ever (so far)

I love Vatican 2, this books reads like human history lead up to this moment. :)

The introduction was magnificent. I’m eager to learn more. I want to implement Vatican 2 in my life, but I just don’t know how. This book seems like it will answer my question and desire. :)

She reflects on her life with such love for the Lord.

What is wrong with our modern world where we can’t have as beautiful an upbringing as her’s? Sure there was great suffering, but she suffered with love. What a grace.
