Yea, halfway through and just keep mentally rolling my eyes. Way too much time put in describing everything/describing things that don't need described. I'm sick of the bad guy and every time they mention the "New Truth". Main character is boring. The dialogue for Aleem and his people is terrible and hard to read at times.

If the other half this book is like the first then this may be my first 1 star Koontz book.

I dunno, not feeling this one. Something about his writing just doesn't hit with me anymore. Also he uses the "ruling elite"/super rich people are bad idea way to much.

At the moment glad I took the cheaper route and got the Kindle version instead of hardcover.

I wish non-authors could use Goodreads blogs...i want to write things about the stuff i read, but general status updates are way too short and i don't want to write them in the book reviews because not everything would be a book review....

For the first time since the release of ODD HOURS (2008), i have chosen not to get the hardcover for the newest Dean Koontz book and opted for the Kindle edition instead. I wasn't thrilled with the last several of his books and just can't bring myself to spend the money on the hardcovers anymore. I still don't want to give up on him yet, but $7 for the kindle is more appealing at the moment then $19.
