I still love the premise, but the writing style is completely ruining this book for me. It's basically reading a script for a true crime Netflix show with way too many descriptions and not enough action, and with other formats like emails, text, newspaper articles thrown in to slow down the pace even further. I've read and loved books with a similar style before, but somehow this one just isn't working for me.
