This book is not only interesting in an economic context. The authors' treatment of core concepts such as functions of n variables makes it a great bridge between the typical multivariable calculus courses taken by engineers and later courses on numerical methods, linear algebra, and continuum mechanics. I have had several "so *that's* where that came from!" moments.
