I’m setting this aside for now. I’m only 4% in and have already come across far too many folks shouting ‘l say!’ I’m not sure I was aware it was set in the ‘30s, so that’s on me, as I’m not keen on the early 20thC eras. There’s another 5 hours to go at this point, and not sure I have the wherewithal to push through right now.

Okay, it’s taken me 5 days to get to 26% and there is *still* over 5 hours to go to get anywhere. This book has a lot of fans, but try as I might right now, I’m simply not feeling it. Putting it down for now, and I might come back to it later. Or not.
