Trying to read aloud to my dog this morning, but he’s barking at whatever is outside. So rude! I guess he doesn’t want to hear it. My mouth is dry. I’m tired. But today is going to be a day of peace and rest and I’m determined to get as many pages in as possible as well as practice reading aloud more.

I used to be good at it at school… but that was 15 years ago. Are you good at reading out loud?

Another order of second hand books on the way. I wasn’t going to place one this week but couldn’t resist. I’ll update my shelf accordingly. Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday—I’m ngl I slept most of the day.

That’s all for tonight… I’m starting to get really into it now. I always find around the 40 page mark is when I start to feel investment.

I’ve barely had the chance to read over the past couple of days and it’s driving me crazy. Short session tonight. Please remind me not to waste time on texting men and instead continue doing what I love most— reading and avoiding others.

I’m always struck by others recount of the AIDS epidemic. And I’m always learning something new, even today. That a gay man would kill himself through fear of contracting it is just devastating. I hadn’t even thought that as a possibility.

Holleran continues to blow me away, in the most raw and candid ways.
