Goodness gracious, this book has things to say.

"We have become so accustomed to thinking and acting like individuala, we cannot even see or accept that we are forming selfishness, not godliness - until a conflict or crisis rises."

The last chapter I read asks a great thought-provoking question: "What changes when you enter a conversation?"

Now I'm thinking all I hope and fear that I bring to the table. 🤔

Part 1.
After reading chapter one, I'm faced with my longing to have close friendships. Sometimes, I can feel like a therapist with others, so I really cherish when I have people ask me questions and take an interest in my life. It's hard to have intentional friendships post-college (that said, maybe the dwelling on the mindset isn't doing me much favors either).

Oh my gosh I love my Organizational Change and Conflict Resolution class; it's already given me 2 of my top 5 (at least!) books for the year.

Gosh, if I could've read and comprehended the content of this book earlier than this. 🥲

I don't think I've ever read something so helpful for engaging with the Old Testament, and I'm only halfway through.

Might finish as a top 3 book of the year.

This is one of the most practical Christian living books I've read. So much talk of personal/educational disciplines; it's refreshing to be faced with compliments of the spiritual truths I read about so often.
