I would not recommend this book based on what I’ve read thus far. Best case, the author seems to be theologically sloppy. Worst case, he gets the gospel wrong all together.

“You’re good enough…Isn’t it beautiful that God is affirming to you that he has always approved of you?” (Pg 55)

Chapter 3 was an excellent display of how the election in Romans 9 pertains to individual salvation and not merely the election of nations.

Different from every other Piper book I’ve read. This one, more than any, is highly technical, thorough, and scholarly. A hard read so far, but very important and helpful.

An unfortunate title in my estimation, yet solid content thus far.
