This book is already hurting my heart. I want them to be together so bad; everything is so messed up and I wish he would just TELL HER!

YES! Hell hath no fury like Celaenaaaaa. What a bad ass. I’m obsessed with her.

I’m giving Chaol to the end of this book to figure his shit out or I’m over him. And by over him, I’m already not shipping him with our girl Celaena anymore, but like…. I fear he’s entering Lucien territory for me. You’re cool and all but what side are you on bro?!

She’s learning! Go, Celaena, go! It’s lowkey starting to get scary tho…

Six whole years have passed since the last book? My God…. So much time. It’s only 200 pages so I know it’s going to be so quick. The author even prefaces by saying they will not be getting a happy ending in this book but to just stick with it. I’m scared 😭

That one was good! The love story is my favorite part, but that’s not shocking. Unfortunately, with one short story left, I know something is gonna shatter my heart. Good ole SJM gas pedal for the last bit!

Ooooh, that was a goodie. This story was on the longer side but definitely kept me entertained. I love that we finally get to see more of these epic battles and fight scenes from Celaena that I thought were missing from TOG. I totally see now why they didn’t want her showing all of her powers. She’s bad ass!

The Healer was a cute short story. It was definitely giving Nesta ☠️ but I do love a good girls supporting girls situation!

I liked the pirate story! The little short felt like I just watched an episode of Once Upon A Time 😅

I’ve hit the “oh shit” part of the book and I must choose my mental health by stopping here. In general, men suck. But more specifically, men who don’t lie to you but withhold the truth are the absolute trash of the planet.

The story is picking up. I like how it’s clearly a continuing story from the first book and not just a brand new plot. The forced proximity romance is lowkey cute, too!

I can already tell I’m going to be heartbroken after Assassin’s Blade by the way they keep talking about her tough past.

Shit just got real. I can’t wait for her to tell him all of her truths and put her walls down.

I wasn’t sure what this story line was going to be, other than the obvious truth that they’d eventually fall in love, but now I see it! It’s the fake dating trope 🥹 I can’t wait to see this unfold, and this is only book one of two!

Ok, this little love triangle is cute! Also love the focus on her relationship with the princess more than any romantic ones.

If I were going to relate this to anything I’ve read/seen before, this is giving Hunger Games so far.

Not to be dramatic, but I NEED this book to be good. I’m desperately searching for words on these silly little dead tree slivers to fill the void that ACOTAR has left me with….
