Once again reading a book that is making me wish I were reading any other book

Okay I can’t remember my recommendation source on this one, and I still feel like I trusted it, but the fact that the narrator thinks she needs to explain what Cthulhu is to me has me wondering if I’m in the right place….. like girl. I know him.

I’m staying optimistic about this one but there’s a webcomic that’s been running since 2021 that I’m going to be comparing this book to the whole time and so far I feel like the webcomic has been doing it better. like five panels at a time. intermittently across multiple years

Wild how a couple chapters can swing you from “ohhh….those are the exact words from the musical…..oh god….” to. Well listen this part also has words the musical lifted directly for lyrics but the lead up has been so very different (they DONT EVEN HAVE A TRAVELING FAIR…..) that. well. argh. GET A JOB.
