The tone has taken a change with the introduction of Decima. She’s very shocking, foul mouthed, but I’m enjoying the descriptive parts of the story. Seems a strong 4 star contender so far. Loved the mention of Stephen’s Nan. I’m wondering if this will lend itself to a quick attachment to Decima.

The prose is beautiful, however I'm trying to get past the unloved child turned porn star turned coke addict barrelling off a highway turned burn victim turned mysterious man with ancient past protagonist. I'll admit to skimming over paragraphs to try and find the point. This isn't quite what air expected. It's not bad. Just surprising.
