I am throwing in the towel. This book simply wasn't written for me. More than once, it has done one of my pet peeves, where every woman is introduced as 'the most beautiful creature he had ever seen.' Really? There isn't anything more interesting that could introduce this character? Neither the story or characters are catching my attention, so I'm calling it quits.

The Irish slang took a little getting used to, but I'm really getting into this.

Not totally sure if this is my thing so far... It has a few annoying tropes, like the 'savage tribe' plot. Let's see if it improves...

I'm listening to the audio book and really enjoying Tig's narration. Having heard her story before, I'm still finding this interesting, but maybe a little sadder than expected.
