It's saddening to witness Jude being happy, as it's just barely the first third of the book, knowing everything may as well go wrong, which will most likely happen at some point, at least based on my personal deductions.

This is actually my 2nd time trying to read this book because I somehow gave up the first time. Now, I am pleasantly surprised because I'm genuinely enjoying it so far. I guess I haven't been in the right state of mind until now

The first thing I noticed compared to 'A room with a view' (also by Forster) is that this book is easier to read. I'm quite enjoying it actually. And the 10th chapter??!? The way I was internally screaming the whole time lol.

Maybe I should have opened this book before buying it because the epistolary format took me by quite a surprise. However, after reading the first letter, I already know I'm gonna love this book. I was looking forward to the character of Michael because I like reading about people with my name. So when I turned the page and got to know that he was dead, it left me with a bitter feeling. Kinda strange, isn't it?

It's weird that it shows here the book has just 119 pages, when it actually has more than 200.

Why was there a Gulliver travel's reference? 💀💀
