ok so lowkey I don’t remember a lot… which made the prologue shocking when I was reminded xaden was a venin again!! Honestly I’m probably gonna need to refresh myself on a lot of this stuff bc it’s been around year since I finished iron flame, but I’m excited!!!

I want more Jacob content!!! Pls!! Make the love triangle actually feel like a love triangle, make Edward work for her love more!! Idk tho like overall it’s okay, I’m not sure yet why this is the highest rated one but like it’s easy to read so I’m gonna finish it for sure. Anyways I want things to get crazier!!

Wow Rosalie’s backstory is so sad, really allowed for a deeper understanding of her character tho. I LOVE JACOB!!! Honestly I am team Jacob at heart, but I already know the ending soooo… anyways Edward is being sooo controlling it’s actually bad. Yay for Jacob helping w the escape from school! Loving all the lore drops abt Sam’s backstory as well as Rosalie! So interesting! Hoping for more like that!

The thought of Charlie being all alone with no one is so depressing. Idk how I’m gonna reconcile with that 😭 idk what’s gonna happen w the wolves and everything either. TBH I’m not sure what the major supernatural conflict is going to be, like who they need to fight and stuff. But anyways, I’m neither wowed nor put off at this point.

okay so ngl it’s been a while so I don’t rly remember a lot of new moon, but I used Wikipedia to refresh myself. Hmm, from what I’ve read online it seems that this has a lot of love triangle action which I’m def down for. Honestly, I’m not sure what’s gonna happen in this one, since it’s the middle novel my knowledge of it is much less than the first and last ones… we shall see how this goes!!

Ok I think that the length of this book is actually very beneficial, once u adjust to the writing style u start to love the characters. It’s just so immersive with so many interactions which lets u get to know them. I love Shannon a lot more now, Gibsie is my absolute fav character, but overall I’m enjoying it much more! Waiting for Johnny to find out abt the home situation tho.. that’ll be pretty crazy!!!

okay so it’s def not the best writing style I’ve ever read, a bit repetitive and not super advanced. HOWEVER… it’s got me hooked. I think I’m rly jusg in the mood for romance and like wattpad style books, and this is hitting that spot. I like the setting and premise so I’m at least going to finish this book. Excited to see how things progress!

THE CLIFF JUMPING?? wow Alice showing up was unexpected! Ngl things rly ramped up in this part, specifically the last 20 pages or so. Lowkey tho… I can very much see how ppl were team Jacob. Like VERY much see, there’s a team Jacob part of me too ngl. Well anyways, edward is deranged, loved Alice saying that he had theatrical tendencies bc that is ringing true! But what’s gonna happen w Victoria? More to come!

poor Bella just being home punched left looking like Swiss cheese by all these supernatural men :( she just wanted to live her life w her dad in the weird rainy small town but nooooo she just had to get wrapped up in the business and be burned by not ONE but TWO of these guys. I do love Jacob tho so no hate. Continues to be better than the movies, Bella cannot catch a break poor girl…

again, the books are much better than the movies! Edward is so wrong for all of that, for being in his 90s he’s very dumb. Jacob is so nice! I understand the team Jacob ppl now! But wow Bella’s mental health is SO bad it’s wild, like even now that she’s out of zombie mode she’s still putting herself in crazy danger. Excited for the werewolf lore drops that are bound to come soon bc of Jacob and friends!

finished. well that was sad. Glad she killed the king! Unfinished business tho. What’s left of the resistance? Where will pae go? What abt the other contestants? Glad that they are propped enemies now bc that should lead to some rly good stuff in the second book! Overall it was a fine book. I enjoyed it, but not super original and had areas which could have been improved. I’ll still probably read the second book

ok so things finally happened between them! Well sort of. I said this wasn’t a slow burn but wow it’s rly feeling like one rn. Everything is gonna go wrong when the resistance comes in. Ahh the situation w kitt is so complicated, I feel bad but it’s gotta happen too. adena is NOT getting enough attention even tho she’s her bff. Love Lenny! And then there were only five contestants left. Onto the final trial!

Weirded out by Kai’s discussion of him missing having a torture victim to get his anger out? That was weird. Hate pae using kitt, just feels bad since he’s so into her, but then again I understand why it’s happening. Where is adena? Why is nobody reacting to what happened between Kai and pae? I hate paw’s sudden talent with a bow.. way too hunger games for my liking unfortunately.

I’ve actually finished but I just don’t like leaving reviews: I ended up enjoying more of Leo’s chapters, Steve was still my main interest, and Alix was consistently solid. It was fine tbh, I learned some important stuff and also was reminded of some historical elements I had forgotten abt. I’ll probably read the sequel since I have it. Hopefully Alix and Steve can be reunited! That miss was devastating!

wow the trial was intense! So much progression tho! Loved the Kai and pae interactions! Rip Hera and Sadie! Haven’t seen adena in a while.. Resistance time! I knew this was coming, but Lenny being part of it was a twist! Her dad being part tho was not lol. Excited to see the voting results post trial and also just more contestant interactions following it. Also the reactions to Kai and pae should be controversial!
