For me this book started out really well but then slipped to 'okay', but the latter third has been sooo(!) much better!

This is a re-read, sort of. I recently had the opportunity to borrow the audiobook, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.
I first read American Gods many years ago and, being totally honest, I didn't really get it.
I think I must have grown older and wiser; I now realize it is all about the journey.
