I am running a marathon trying to get through this book haha. Having already seen the movie and gotten past the most shocking part of the book, I know it's only sadness from here on out but so help me, I will finish!!

Enjoyed the honeymoon chapter with Rhett and Scarlett much more than I expected because I loved how REAL their relationship is! Of course then I got angry that Scarlett can't see how happy she is with Rhett and is still stuck on that lame Ashley.

God the intro is long. I'm reading this for class and not sure how I feel about the author's position on the topic--actually I'm not too sure what it is yet. Very wordy. Making my brain melt. I'm hoping it gets more interesting and ties in more sociology, which is what I pictured when I picked it from the list

As of right now, the blatant racism and historical inaccuracies are really starting to come forward. Still, I love the love-hate relationship I have with Scarlett and I'm enjoying reading the parts that were not included in the movie.
