rin may have been annoying and irrational for the recent chapters and will probably remain that way but i cant hate her completely knowing that her obsession with validation is rooted in the fact that she grew up with barely any parent figures. she was constantly treated as a slave and reminded of how little she is by her adoptive parents.

her wanting a validation is her wanting to belong to someone, to some place.

Rin calling the Phoenix at the brink of death because of her immense fear of death— of herself and her comrades— is also Anakin reaching out to Chancellor Palpatine and the Dark Side just to save his wife.

Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate... leads to suffering.

My favorite thing about reading TPW is analyzing how similar Rin and Anakin are (^_^)v

Beartown starts with "someone has been shot" and you read the book to find out who. Us against you starts with "someone has been ran over by a car" and you read to find out who and if it's someone you care for.
