Enjoying the book, but it's a tough read...a lot of Middle English vocabulary, so I have to look up a LOT of words to fully understand it... So reading Le Morte is taking me more time than most books. That's ok though, as I'm enjoying the increase to my vocabulary... But it does mean that I can only manage a few chapters at a time

I'm finding this book extremely hard to "get into". I'm 1/3 off the way through, and I can't say the story is really going anywhere yet. However, I've been assured by a few other readers that the book is worth it ... It just takes a while to take get going

A "willing suspension of disbelief" is an important part of enjoying any fictional book. Orson Scott Card makes that almost impossible. Laz and Ivy just have too many beyond-normal abilities... And with the multiple dimensions aspect of the story, it gets convoluted quickly. I am enjoying the story, but am finding it hard to truly believe in the characters
