I can see why a lot of people say this series is the weakest in the RoTE but there is something to how much shorter and faster-paced they are.

Dragon Keeper is getting off the ground a lot more quickly than Ship of Magic, which I appreciate, but I’m not sure I’ll be as invested in the storyline. I’m kind of plunging ahead just to get to the last trilogy. BUT hoping it has merits of its own.

I have to take breaks from Hobb so I can get other life things done, but I’m. so. happy. to be back!

This is very strange and well-written and I am not sure that I like it

Starting to enjoy, still getting used to the multi-POV and still flinching in anticipation every chapter (if there’s anything I’ve learned it’s that Robin Hobb will inflict trauma upon me)

Starting off slower than Farseer but I can feel it building…

I thought maybe this Hazelwood guy would be more normal-sized because it’s YA, but turns out he’s a full-grown adult with massive hands and bulging biceps - boo!
