It’s getting better

Reads smooth like butter. In fact, at times I have to consciously slow my pace. Mildly infuriating that Xan didn’t at least attempt to tell this 5 year old that she has magical abilities and that she needs to learn to control them.

Your mind is like a expansive mirror that is all accepting, effortlessly, reflecting everything that appears, while being perfectly still.

This choice, this “thou mayest” that Lee and Samuel speak of, I know not. Perhaps it’s not really the freedom of choice that matters but the illusion itself. A useful fiction if so thoroughly believed.. I can see how this could be the basis for where we’re at as humans presently. Stories everywhere, and wisdom lies in knowing which to believe and when to.

Samuel had resigned to a big change in his life. It is beautiful to see the mind, after much futile resistance, bend to impermanence and open with acceptance.

Cathy was once again pressured to drink, and again the catalytic poison released her inhibitions from the evil within.
