Dex: Everybody needed a cup of tea sometimes. Just an hour or two to sit and do something nice, and then they could get back to whatever it was.

Mosscap: I wish I could understand experiences I’m incapable of having.

Dex: Fear is miserable, as is pain. As is hunger. Every animal is hardwired to do absolutely anything to stop those feelings as fast as possible. We’re all just trying to be comfortable, and we’ll fed, and unafraid.

Dex: Everyone thinks they’re the exception to the rule, and that’s exactly the problem. One person can do a lot of damage.

Mosscap: If you don’t want to infringe upon my agency, let me have agency.

Dex: There’s just some things in the universe that are better left in-f***ed-with.

Mosscap: We don’t have to fall into the same category to be of equal value.

Dex: What do humans need? is an unanswerable question. That changes from person to person, minute to minute. We can't predict our needs, beyond the base things we require to survive.

Mosscap: I was sent here to answer the following question: What do humans need?

Dex: The wilderness was not known for letting the foolish return.

Dex: Crickets, as it turned out, we’re extinct in most of Panga. While numerous species across all phyla had bounced back after the Transition, many others had been left in a state too fragile to recover. Not all wounds were capable of healing.

Dex: No object should be treated as disposable.

Narrator: 50% of Panga’s single continent was designated for human use; the rest was left to nature, and the ocean as barely touched at all. It was a crazy split, if you thought about it: half the land for a single species, half for hundreds of thousands of others.
Me: I wish Earth would adopt this land use policy.

Dex: Tea service wasn’t anything arcane … all of it could be boiled down to listen to people, give tea. Uncomplicated as could be.
Me: I wish our culture had mobile monk tea service.

Reichert: The more people who cycle, the safer it gets, and the healthier people are.

Brunlett: To the Dutch, riding a bike is just a normal part of the everyday fir virtually everybody.

Bruntlett: If you plan cities for cars and traffic, you get cars and traffic.
