I can understand how the terminology might overwhelm some people but I was expecting a challenging read per other reviews and to me, this is not one at all. Maybe it’s my literature background. Lots of contextual clues, comedic elements, and incredible storytelling. I can already tell this is gonna be a 5 star read.

Okay so I know ACOMAF is where I am gonna hate Tamlin but I already hate him? Rhys did all the heavy lifting with Amarantha and keeping Feyre alive, he nearly got Feyre KILLED from lust, and he is keeping her prisoner in the Spring Court??? If we were the last two people on Earth with only one bottle of water remaining between the two of us, I'd drink the entire bottle in front of him.

ITS HAPPENING! Doing a read-a-long with my physical book and the cast audiobook ✨

Not sure how I’m feeling about the dual POV and war time setting as opposed to the tournaments but I’m still optimistic!

3rd re-read to finally read ACOMAF for the first time. Originally thought 2-3 stars (I know I'm sorry) which is why I didn't continue the series right away. Give me your strength.

Oraya’s character arc is so exquisite and I have loved seeing her emotional growth. 🥰

This cat and mouse game between Oraya and Raihn during the tournament has me REELING. I’m FERAL. World building and plot are still on point and the stakes are HIGH (I had to get a vampire pun in here I’m sorry). This is excellent so far, potential 5 star so early on in the year??!! 🥳

LOVE the world building and character arcs/backstories but WHEWWW:

- Our MFC will not stop crying. I get it, its a terrifying world, but would have preferred the author to showcase her distraught emotions instead of a freefall of tears every other page.
- Poor editing. Poor plot points can pull others from their reading bubble, but it's grammatical errors for me and its laden, especially italics consistency.

I’m not usually a quote girlie but I’ve already tabbed over ten pages so far. This prose is absolutely magnificent and the story is truly just getting started. I am already in LOVE. Oraya’s strengths and weaknesses shine together with such emotional complexity. 😭
