This book is so PAINFUL. Pearce has so much internalized misogyny it's unbelievable. Scarlett can't go more than a couple pages without calling herself, her sister, or another woman stupid or ignorant. The "hunting" is so rapey (dress and act stereotypically feminine and airhead, stick your boobs out and cake on makeup, swing your hips and laugh like an idiot). Even calls her sister "better bait" smfh.

This book is painful. The girls are the most offensive caricatures of female stereotypes I've ever seen: Scarlett the raunchy sexpot with a chip on her shoulder that's jaw-droppingly attractive despite being "grossly" disfigured and Rosie, the opposite, meek, self-deprecating, insecure crybaby who is still unreasonably attractive despite all this. Smh. Not for feminists.

Barely into the first chapter and Scarlett is relying on weaponized femininity in a scene that sounds a lot like a rape story. Oh, and Pearce already made a point that she's not like "normal, stupid, ignorant" girls. REALLY hoping she stops being such an entitled bitch and has some positive character development.

"...it is a call for revolution wrapped in the clothing of rationality." If peace is irrational it MAKES SENSE to revolt for the betterment of the community. OH WAIT, this book is propaganda promoting the idea the being smart is evil (I wish I was joking, I really effing do).
