Surprisingly easy to follow despite the more complicated language for the era it was written

When you have everything, someone else getting a little something feels like they’re stealing from you.

I cannot describe how gorgeous this book is, writing has never appeared so perfectly on a page and sounded so beautiful in my head like this. Wow wow wow.

I was routing for the two to open their arms and fall in-love with each other since about half way when they were getting along so well but It doesn’t sit right with me when I’m not sure what’s going on with this distantly related thing? I’m not sure if they actually were distantly related or just had family connections in their ancestors but it makes it very unsettling if they are in fact slightly related.

Though I struggled to follow who’s who and who’s related to who for a little while, it’s all clicking into place now and it’s much more enjoyable when you figure out the full picture

I like a book that doesn’t talk down to you but doesn’t try too hard to use long complex sentences so I can still easily follow who is doing what etc

It’s so engaging to the point where I’ll be watching a show but still reading the book and I still understand what’s going on. Very easy to read
