I really can't get over the feeling that a neurotypical author wrote a caricature of a neurodivergent person as their protag... Molly feels infantilized and even cartoonish. I watched an interview where the author said she used to work with "special needs" kids... But I don't feel like that gives a person any insight to write FROM that of perspective. Skeezing me out...
