As the 10th Hunger Games start (or rather the 10th Federally Sanctioned Assassination of Children), we’re seeing the Games slowly start to evolve into the spectacle of Katniss time.

The interesting thing is realizing why< /i> everything from the train forward is done in OTT extravagance.

While I’m not quite hating Young Snow, I am hating Lucy Gray a bit.

And Tigress, my heart aches for her even more.

Now that I started this, I don’t feel like rereading it. I’m pretty sure I didn’t care for this one when it was first published, tho not why.

All I can visualize is Donald Sutherland’s face on a teenager’s body.

Every time James does Bob’s voice, it’s like Spike is visiting the posh side of the tracks and my toes curl. Sometimes I giggle and clap like a seal. Completely embarrassing.

Also, James as Harry said “Big Bad” and I had to laugh.

I need Buffy reruns in my life.

I didn’t intend on starting this so soon but my over tired brain wanted to listen to James Marsters while falling asleep.

A talking/singing red Chinese floating dragon named Elvis.

I don’t know if I’m so tired that I’m hallucinating the plot to this book or if the author was on the Good Drugs while they wrote it.

The cover art on the audiobook matches what is on Good Reads and StoryGraph so I don’t think it’s me.

This is the sweetest, most heart breaking book ever.

Heavy on the bullying, and not just obvious kind.

I see where this is going, and I’m bit disappointed the author chose to go there. The author is trying to sprinkle in little clues about the side story, but the clues are little like an elephant is “little”.

Hopefully there’s a twist?

For now, I’ll just l pretend I was ever a teen that could be tempted by bad choices. My mom put the fear in me young.

I had was able to borrow one more book this month and didn’t know what to get.

I’m only 33% in but I have no desire to go caving / spelunking in West Virginia ever again.

Jay Alder’s narration has made Mothman my favorite cryptid so far.
