The idea that americans are chasing true and absolute freedom of self while europeans are the "true materialists" and this is exemplified by the fact that you would buy up property in Las Vegas of all places because you think you should be able to buy a sandwich at any time of the day. Incredible. The most american thing anyone has ever heard. Freedom is when I can buy a sandwich whenever. Dumb europeans don't get it
