this is definitely more of a tragedy than a horror

incredible storytelling so far. i expected the language to make this a more difficult read but Shelley’s vocabulary and diction are much more digestible than i anticipated :)

getting a little lost… we seem to have moved on from rosemary and are focused fully on the divers, both of whom are unwell in their own right.

it’s cool to read a story partially set in paris while i’m in paris myself!

fitzgerald’s ability to blend camp and subtlety makes for quite a whiplash of a read

rosemary is a very loveable and surprising main character. not sure what the plot is though

finished the murder-y part…. not as bad as i thought it would be. definitely better to read in the daylight

definitely wouldn’t recommend starting the “handcrafted coffins” section at night when you’re home alone :,)
