Very solid. Never fully learned the different parts of the brain until now.

A few points to remember:
1) In psychiatric care there is too much focus on managing symptoms rather than understanding the cause of suffering.
2) There are limitations to therapy. The threat-perception system of the brain cannot be healed through talking
3) Healing from trauma involves mastery over physical sensations and emotions

“Terrorism” may have been the best essay yet. “War” was interesting but so much has changed since 2018.

This book forces me to think deeply. I like it

Extremely interesting. Much of the book is speculative and I disagree with Harari on many issues but his writing draws your attention and curiosity. Algorithms will change the world—perhaps not in the ways that Harari has outlined. I am taking heavy notes in the margins and underlining and it’s paying off.
