i love how their fate, their stories were intertwined and we get to look at each of them for the most duration of the book, and in the end it'll bound into one big event that filled you with anticipation--both hope and despair, and the storytelling is beautiful

Oh dear, it began.

think i just found another comfort book

In which everyone is unreliable narrators, because everyone knew nothing

so many mysteries to be unlocked. The Sisters. Sorrow. The Bog. The World. Luna. Fyrian.

Y'know, I thought it'd be impossible to like Bilbo more. But boy o boy I was wrong. He's even braver in the book I want to squeeze him into my pocket

istg Bilbo's the only one that has common sense these days (Balin close to second)

The dragon arc is very very interesting. Can't believe Bilbo actually went twice and jested with Smaug for far longer. And he went all Tookish!! Finally. Best part of the book, honestly.

So the Wood-elves & dwarves dispute is about jewels, not too personal, and they didn't even know Bilbo's there! Jackson's tweaks in the movies are interesting

in love with the writing style so far. and the world building looks good!

Chapter Mirkwood seru! Gaya story-telling Tolkien bikin lupa kalau lagi baca fiksi, bukan dongeng sejarah. And the songs!! Honestly every fairy/kingdom fantasy deserve songs in their books

Wow, book-Thorin is so polite, cheerful, caring, and dependable I almost double take every time he spoke.
And Gandalf actually explain things, a lot, in detail. Look at that.
