I'm amazed I haven't finished this book yet considering how captivating it is. I love books where you're so caught up in the story you forget who the author really is. This is one of those.

I've had this book for awhile, but since I found her highly acclaimed book, The Goldfinch quite laborious, I dismissed her entirely as an author. Recently,though, I picked this up again. I'm honestly enjoying it very much. It's a lively and enthralling book. It also touches on arts in respect of lit, languages and their people, something that draws me in. I reckon I'll love it.

Their shifts of sexuality is quite interesting...

Interesting how Jane went from giving no thought of Mr. Rochester to now caring more of what he thinks of her. Such an interesting aspect of love as it consumes one.

The book is still catchy but I feel like it's too long.

For the few books I've read based on friendship, it's always female friendship. It's interesting reading on deep male friendship. It centres on life a lot so I'm won over, plus it's warm and hearty.
