I’m finally diving into a Brandon Sanderson story! I haven’t read a novel by a male author in a long time either! I’ve heard great things about this series and being a fan of high fantasy, it’s a wonder I haven’t read one of this author’s works yet. So far this world has been SO unique and interesting. It’s so refreshing!!

I reread the first book before starting this because it’s been a while. This was another book that was a favorite in the year that I read it. Rereading it was so much fun and it honestly felt like reading it for the first time again. I’d forgotten a lot of it. i’m excited to continue with this book and see what happens.

I’ve been hearing a lot of stuff about this book that I’m not excited about so I was very hesitant to start this. However, I was almost spoiled for the ending on TikTok, which was awful; so in order to keep myself from being completely spoiled, I am reading it now. So far it’s not too bad, but we will see how long this back-and-forth between Xaden and Violet goes.

I've had this book checked out at the library but my motivation to read is so sporadic, I'm just now getting to it. So far, I like it a lot. Love the 1940s ambience, love the characters, love the plot, and it is so refreshing to read. SO GLAD the second book is out so if I can, I can run and buy it.
