I love how they set up McGonigle (some fat, oafish cop who hates Batman in one story) as a comedic foil for Batman who will show up in later stories to follow as if he won’t disappear quickly and for decades to come, the position of semi-comedic, oafish cop who hates Batman will be filled by Harvey Bullock.
