I get that the main character is against letting a # of people die in order for others to survive. But it’s unrealistic. They’re a colony of 20k humans living unsustainably in a temporary base in space. There’s a chance to get to someplace more permanent. Not everyone will survive the trip. OH WELL. Better 80% survival than 0%. Why doesn’t the main character understand this?
