This book is divided in two part, two different stories. I've finished the first: a nice reading, a mix between a spy story and a sci-fi adventure.

Brion Brand is a complete character. Throughout the story, he passes from a champion in Hunger Gamers style, to a secret agency's director, to a specialized agent like James Bond that fight against evil. Using his words, "as a planetary savior, he was already killing a considerable number of citizens..."

A plot that intrigues me more and more and few time to read! I need at least a day in solitary confinement. :)

In the last chapters the story sped up, with more action and few scientific analysis. I like the way the story proceeds, with past episodes mixed with present, to give explanations about characters and facts.

A intriguing prologue and a first chapter that catch the reader's attention.

I hope it's not an indication of the year lies ahead. :(

I wanted to read this one before the end of the year. The plot intrigued me by the first moment. A post-apocalyptic world ruled by the villains: this is awesome!
