How many times is someone going to ‘hiss’ in this book? ‘“Watch the camera”, he hissed’ like what is that, it pops up like every chapter

Idk this is weird. She comes home after 16 yrs and asks her daughter if she in school, her GPA and if she applied to college? Nothing teary eyed and heartfelt about the years that went by. Ik she may be In shock but I thought the mom would explode into tears bc she said she spent the last 16 years only thinking about her family and writing stories about them. So seems off the way its written or maybe thts on purpose.

If whoever took her was actually Dad, Uncle or docu director, ima be mad.

Kinda dont like Bel’s personality so far. And why did the book have to mention Covid??😭💀

Funny the author added this, she guessed how I would be feeling by chpt 3 with nothing hitting off yet.

Also, in chpt 1, not a fan of how the gma’s dialogue is written.
