Just started SYCAMORE ROW. Grisham is getting seriously funny First with THE LITIGATORS, now this. I'm liking him a LOT!

Also finished Sujata Massey's THE SLEEPING DICTIONARY. Excellent! If you're looking for a history of INdia in the 20th century, and appealng characters and plot, this is for you!

Just finished The Hangman's Daughter. Very good. But translation was spotty. "Shove it?" in 1659? I don't think so.

THis is really embarrissing... but Ive been a member for 4 years, and I JUST learned how to do a status update. Okay.. I know I'm a Luddite. But I just finished THE TEARS OF AUTUMN by Charles McCarry. Fascinating theory about the JFK assassination -- that the Vietnamese were retaliating for the CIA sponsored murder of Diem and his brother. Far-fetched theory, but the writing was so good, it was almost inspiring.

Just finished Jodi Picoult's THE STORYTELLER. She is a fine writer. Period. (although I figure out the twist early on).

Now reading THE COMPANY by Robert Litell. Didnt grab me at first, but it's growing on me. I am flabbergasted by the research he must have done.
