This book is really growing on me! For some reason the whole little group of card thieves remind me of shadow and bone a little bit. I love the atmosphere of the moodiness/dark academia and fantasy all mixed together

Veeeery good book so far, I love the authors use of older English at times

Okay maybe this is stupid, but FINALLY a smart FMC in a book. She had a bad life in the human world and got transported to the fae world where she can FLY and has a hot fae man attracted to her and smartly decided that it was better than her human life. This has never happened before and I am so happy 😭🤣 usually they are so mad and want their old lives back

So this book is a cute quick read so far, the characters personality and relationships are kinda shallow but MAN the intensity of the MMC. Something about the way he acts is just the deepest part of this book. It’s pretty good I would definitely recommend it

I love the very unique magic system in this book

I’ve seen several harsh reviews of this book about it being too drudgy but I absolutely am loving it so far

The first part of this book was reaaaaaalllllyyy hard to get through tbh, but it’s getting better by the page at this point

This book is so good 🤭 the tension and slow burn is killing me. And I love that it’s not super predictable like there have been a couple times where I was 100% something was going to happen and I was dead wrong
