4.75 ⭐️ I love these books dearly.

David Sedaris in France is my favorite David in France.

Bent over laughing while walking the dog and listening to David Sedaris recount a collective French class explanation of “what is Easter” has to be my favorite dog-walk ever. “It is the day of the birth of a boy who die of father Jesus. He die on two logs. Then, bunny bring of us chocolate because he go over your head to be with your Dad.”

Ah, top-tier vocabulary tastes good and this book is delivering it.

I haven’t laughed this hard in - out loud, and in public - thanks to an audiobook in years. I was ready to give this book 5 stars after chapter 4, but I’m ready to give it 10 out of 5 stars and I haven’t even finished it 🙌

I have no idea where this fairy tale is going, and I love that fact. Most of all, I love a good feral child who sees the spirits and sprites the rest of us have forgotten.
