Okay idealistic society, I see you! I was hesitant because oof a man driven society? That sounds horrific and could end so terribly, but Maletopia does right in exposing how it would all work. An exploration into the bettering of society through respect, authenticity, CONSENT, and emotional intelligence that challenges our current societal norms. I’m still left with one question: what about the trans individuals?

Universal healthcare that’s personalized and tied into mental health care and is stigma free? Truly an idealistic society they have in Maletopia…still wondering about trans individuals though.

A justice system that focuses on other methods not incarceration?! A society that doesn’t victim blame?! Maletopia may only have biological males, but it has created a society and culture that the world so desperately needs.

We still need to fix that trans problem though. I’m excited to finish this and write a full review!

Listen. Listen. I don’t need the world or city to be only biological men, but the idealistic nature of this world is next level.

Men that respect others? Listen to consent? Are authentic? Emotionally intelligent? Just 🤯 not in our modern world, but at least in this fictional one.

I wasn’t expecting this to be such a rapid reading experience, but it’s certainly happening quickly.

In case you didn’t know, penis is important. Penis is god? To be a man, you need a penis. Yeah that’s problematic.

Continuing on the allegorical content though, it’s an ideal society where everyone and everything is celebrated. There’s no labels, there’s just fluidity.

With no page numbers, I have to roughly guess how far along I am. I’m choosing to write status updates as I go along for this one.

First, I’m choosing to read this as one giant allegory because if not…OOF.

Men feeling how women feel? Men feeling how LGBTQIA+ people feel? Men feeling how BIPOC feel?

There’s a lot to be said in the opening chapters.
