Hey, stuff is finally happening!

Imagine my relief on reading the second agreement that the author wasn't going to take it personally when I call him pretentious. So glad to have that assumption cleaned up.

On a serious note, I was disappointed to see that he doesn't address the potential for abuse in "nothing I can say an hurt you" when coming from a place of not being "impeccable with your word".

As I read the first agreement, I gossiped continually with my wife picking on the lameness of how the author expressed his ideas. I agree with the messages, but his explanations make me want to puke. I enjoyed the delicious irony that I was doing exactly what he was preaching against while reading his sermon.

Let me paraphrase the chapter: live with integrity and based in reality, & how we speak is how we think.

Wow, what a load of New Age garbage so far. Despite that, one nugget has shown through: "In your whole life nobody has ever abused you more than you have abused yourself. And the limit of your self-abuse is exactly the limit that you will tolerate from someone else. If someone abuses you a little more than you abuse yourself, you will probably walk away from that person."
