I’m only about 1/3 of the way in but something is apparent, and not surprising. Metaxas’ constant berating if “cowardly pastors” shows his motive is far more about political control and influence than it is the care of souls, the comforting of consciences and the forgiveness of sins. I’ll finish this book just to know what’s out there. But so far, it’s tough to get through without wanting to close it.
