finished mostly on transportation to visit friends while im back in the city, the end's final sequence of paragraphs was beautiful, first love returned to some deconstructions that i didnt care much for, but there are still a few passages there that i would want to circle with a pencil, love as banishment, self as mostly pains but a little more etc.

maybe im just tired but the introduction for this edition seems unnecessarily erudite and meaningless at the end
i also cant tell if i like beckett or hate him, i read even these short stories with great breaks in between, and some pages flow like water while others feel like sucking concrete through a straw with my nostril
