ahhhh this book is sooo good i’m in love

oh how i love women and stories about motherhood

do mlm books give me gender envy? yes. will i keep reading them wishing it was me while being sad? also yes.

i feel stupid i didn’t know he wrote a story in kink. the second chapter of the novel is one of the short stories. i’m not disappointed tho because it was one of my favourites

let’s hope i love this. i’m planning to order my year of rest and relaxation soon so i wanted to read this before i bought another new moshfegh. even if i don’t like this i’ll still be ordering it just because i love her and know i’ll love that one. i only got this first because it was all they had from her in stock at my local book store

i’m loving this collection it’s so intense and beautifully written.

i love his writing just as much as i did in the catcher in the rye

i feel dumb trying to understand medical things. when i read sentences or paragraphs mentioning a ton of people or books or years i honestly just get confused and that’s happening a lot in this. i mean i still know what’s going on but i won’t be any smarter on the topic of medicine after this.

i have no idea why but this is way less triggering than other books i’ve read discussing eating and beauty (also not to worry i am “recovered” of my past ed, in the sense i gained the weight but still have all the same thoughts)
