Fuck me it's a big one.

The book and series overall has been quite excellent but one of the more important povs has been so absolutely fumbled over the course of books 2 and 3 that I'm starting to dread reading her chapters, which is unfortunate since she's been the main focus since the start lol

This reread so far has solidified my opinion that it's no longer fair to compare anyone to erikson and instead all I can do is compare erikson to erikson. The man at his worst is better than anyone else I've read.

Insane to be reading a Malazan book that so far is only 2 major povs, but nevertheless it's fantastic.

Probably the hardest book I think I've read. if people struggle with Book of the Fallen they're so fucked when it's time for Kharkanas.

it took awhile, much like locke lamora but the book has started clicking

Can't really explain just how good this continues to be on a reread which makes me really worried that rereading the rest of this series is gonna completely ruin all other fantasy for me.

Was by far the greatest fantasy series on my first read through. Already even better on a second read.
