One of the better autobiographies I’ve had the pleasure of soaking up. Bourdain writes with some of the same bite and cutting commentary that’s reminiscent of Hunter Thompson. KC is fast, honest, and takes me right back to my days in the back-of-house life. Obviously a prerequisite for anyone going into the kitchen industry, as well as motivation to follow your skills and passion.

So far Confessions of an EHM is stimulating and intriguing. Perkins gives an abbreviated back story, and I’m curious to read just how involved he was in the process of these economic games. If even a small percent of this is based in any truth, it’s a terrifying notion that something like this is going on.
