Michael is on page 42 of 284 of Georgias Civil War (State Narratives of the Civil War)
This is a fascinating book on one of the most neglected aspects of the Civil War, i.e. the Confederacy was a tyranny and most people-- evn in the South-- didn't want to fight for it.

Enjoying the reading... at a safe distance of 72+ years from the monster.

Finished it. Good ending. Want to read another steampunk novel ('The Difference Engine'?) now.

Nearing the end but still not finished. Reading too many books all at the same time, I suppose.

Tremendous, even for a collection of Tolstoy's lesser short stories. There is no greater writer of prose.

Michael is reading War and Peace
Finished it the summer before last (2011) while returning by train from Boston. It held my interest to the very end. A long but very satisfying read.
